Application of hierarchically porous metal-organic frameworks in heterogeneous catalysis: A review

Hierarchically porous metal-organic frameworks (H-MOFs) with micro-, meso- and macropores have emerged as a popular class of crystalline materials that attracted extensive interests, they been studied in diverse applications, especially heterogeneous catalysis. The hierarchical structures enable sufficient diffusion accessibility to the active sites molecules permit encapsulation catalytic guest exploit more possibilities enhanced performance. In this review, we summarized recent representative developments H-MOFs field catalysis, which includes oxidation reaction, hydrogenation condensation reaction. Emphasis is placed on multiple functions structures, activity, selectivity, stability, recyclability, etc. industrial utility H-MOFs. Finally, prospects challenges catalysis remaining issues are presented.
